The retail world changes fast and furious with lead times getting shorter and instant gratification being the call of the day. Customers are more informed and expectations are higher. When one retailer fails to meet their needs, they are quick to move to the next one, even as fast as a click of the mouse. Retailers need face challenges and it becomes crucial to map out their corporate strategies in the business environment, aligning their marketing mix with objectives and finally evaluate the marketing mix performance.
Manage Marketing Mix (Competency code: RE-MM-402C-3) is a 27 hours course delivered with 24 hours of training and 3 hours of assessment. The course addresses the skills and knowledge required to understand organisation's strategies and business environment, align marketing mix with organisational objectives and monitor marketing mix performance.
After completion, participants will be able to:
1. Understand organisation's strategies and business environment
2. Align marketing mix with organisational objectives
3. Monitor performance to ensure effectiveness of marketing mix
WHO SHOULD ATTEND
The course is beneficial for department managers, retail operations managers, store managers, area managers, marketing executives, marketing managers and other personnel responsible for promoting and maintaining a brand image as well as industry practitioners who have the relevant working experience and are seeking formal nationally-recognised certification and want to enhance their skills and knowledge in advertising, sales and marketing.
The course is conducted over 3.5 days for full-time classes and 9 days for evening part-time classes delivery.
The course is delivered in an interactive workshop style using discussions, case studies and presentations. There are 24 hours of training and 3 hours of assessment.
Assessment includes written assessment and case study. Written assessment is 40 minutes whereas case study assessment is 2 hours and 20 minutes.
Participants who met the Retail WSQ assessment criteria will be awarded one Retail WSQ Statement of Attainment (SOA) for Manage Marketing Mix (RE-MM-402C-3).
