The MBA in Retailing is a postgraduate programme open to both graduates and non-graduates. For those individuals who have an undergraduate degree from a recognised University, then the selection committee requires each candidate to have at least 2 – 3 years relevant work experience.

For those who have not previously studied in Higher Education, admittance is through relevant work experience. Typically an individual should have worked in retailing or a related sector for at least 8 – 10 years. In practice, the MBA in Retailing attracts a good balance between graduates and non-graduates with applicants being drawn not only from retailing itself, but also from many organisations associated with the supply and provision of services to the sector (for example, manufacturers, software companies and financial service providers).

In summary, the entry requirements are:

  • An HONOURS DEGREE or its equivalent from an institution recognised by the University of Stirling.
  • At least 2 to 3 years relevant working experience.
  • Those without formal higher education qualifications will also be considered if they have significant and RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE and can satisfy the University that he or she has the ability to undertake postgraduate study.
  • There is no age limit on application

If you are considering applying for the programme and have any questions about your eligibility, please do not hesitate to get in touch with us.
